Stock-out risk flags variants likely to run out soon, based on how much stock you have versus how fast it’s selling.

How it’s measured

days of supply = closing stock ÷ average daily sales
Stock and velocity are summed across shops and sizes for each variant, then the ratio is computed. Variants are ranked by urgency — fewest days of supply first.

Status tiers

StatusDays of supplyMeaning
Critical< 7Act now.
Warning7–13Monitor and plan a restock.
Healthy≥ 14No immediate concern.
The velocity window (how “average daily sales” is measured) defaults to the last 30 days.

Where to find it

Add the Stock-out risk table block to a dashboard. It shows, per at-risk variant: status, product image, variant and brand, days of supply, and closing stock (with variant code, product name and average daily sales available as extra columns). You can filter by brand, shop, and status.

Acting on it

From a row, launch the right plan:
  • Restock — order more from the supplier.
  • Rebalance — pull stock from a shop that has a surplus.
For automation, alert on the DAYS_OF_STOCK or RISK_SCORE alert metrics, or let a score-driven workflow build the restock/rebalance plan for you.
