A pre-season plan is collection-level order planning done before a season starts. Buyers set a planned budget and item-level quantities across variants and sizes, and can explore scenarios (what-if variations).

Lifecycle

Draft → Validated → Sent → Closed
  • Draft — build the plan and set budget guards (planned budget, max over/under).
  • Validated — items are ready; crossing the approval threshold triggers an approval.
  • Sent — commitment locked.
  • Closed — archived.

Items

One line per variant × size, with quantity and unitCost. Items move To reviewReady for order.

Scenarios

A pre-season plan can hold multiple scenarios — alternative versions of the plan you compare side by side. Scenarios can be created manually or generated by AI; an AI-generated scenario tracks its own creation status (Creating → Ready / Failed) while the recommendation job runs, then fills in brand-level quantities.

Rules & approval

Pre-season has an approval gate on Draft → Validated. Rules commonly guard Open-To-Buy by collection or department, plan-value limits, and supplier constraints. See Plan lifecycle & approvals.
