A rebalance plan moves inventory between two of your own shops — taking slow movers from one location and sending them where they’ll sell, to reduce markdown risk and improve assortment.

Lifecycle

Draft → Validated → Sent → Closed
  • Draft — build the transfer.
  • Validated — all items ready.
  • Sent — the transfer is initiated from the outgoing shop to the incoming shop.
  • Closed — archived.

Items

One line per variant × size; the outgoing and incoming shops are defined on the plan header, so they’re implicit on each item. Items carry To reviewReady for order statuses.

Rules & approval

Rebalance has no approval gate. Rules still apply when adding items — typically checking the source shop’s remaining stock, transfer relevance, and size curves. Because a transfer involves two shops, rules are evaluated for both the outgoing and incoming shop. See Plan lifecycle & approvals.

Where it comes from

Rebalance suggestions are driven by transfer-urgency / surplus / deficit scores and can be generated by workflows that match surplus shops to deficit shops.
