# Preferences

> Personal settings — language and theme.

**Preferences** are personal, per-user settings that don't affect anyone else.

| Preference   | Options                                                                 |
| ------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Language** | English or French — also switchable via the docs/app language selector. |
| **Theme**    | Light or dark appearance.                                               |

## Where to find them

Go to **Settings → Preferences**. Changes are saved to your user profile and apply
wherever you sign in.

  The organization also has a **default** language and currency (see
  [Organization settings](/en/administration/organization-settings)); your personal
  preference takes precedence for your own session.
